The 77th Cannes Film Festival, a prestigious event celebrates both film and fashion, continued into its fifth day, showcasing the world premieres of 'Caught By the Tides', 'The Balconettes', and 'Emilia Pérez'. The spotlight, as always, wasn't just on the cinematic achievements but also on the fashion statements made on the red carpet. This year's event celebrities donning their most stylish outfits, making day 5 a memorable fashion parade.

Emma Stone and Selena Gomez were among the standout fashion icons on day 5, each bringing their unique style to the fore. Stone impressed with her white shirt mini-dress, seamlessly blending sophistication with modern flair. On the other hand, Gomez, starring in 'Emilia Pérez', graced the event in a striking black strapless gown, setting a high standard for red carpet elegance.
Bollywood's very own Kiara Advani made a magnificent Cannes debut, captivating onlookers in a pink and black gown that screamed old Hollywood glamour. Her ensemble, complete with gloves and diamond jewellery, ensured she was among the brightest stars of the night.
Salma Hayek and Eva Longoria also made significant fashion statements, with Hayek in a shimmering black gown paired with gold jewellery, and Longoria in a dazzling blue cut-out dress adorned with silver jewels for the 'Emilia Pérez' premiere.
Adding to the glam were Zoe Saldana, who embraced the bow trend in a black strapless gown with a pink train, and Naomi Campbell, who attended the "Women in Cinema" Gala in a stunning aqua co-ord set, accented with a large buckled belt.
Among the highlights was the screening of Shyam Benegal's classic 'Manthan', featuring the late Smita Patil and Naseeruddin Shah. The event saw Naseeruddin Shah alongside Ratna Pathak Shah and Prateik Babbar, paying homage to the film. Naseeruddin Shah opted for a traditional bandhgala, while Ratna Pathak Shah showcased sustainable fashion by repurposing a lime green saree, paired with a lavender blouse and jacket.
Sobhita Dhulipala, making her second appearance at Cannes, turned heads in a gold crystal-embellished gown by Indian brand ITRH, designed by Ridhi Bansal and Mohit Rai. The gown, priced at Rs 1 lakh, featured a plunging neckline and a silhouette that flattered the figure.
Day 5 of the Cannes Film Festival 2024 was indeed a celebration of fashion, with celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood alike turning the red carpet into a runway of the finest ensembles.
