At 43, Kareena Kapoor Prefers DIY Skincare To Botox & Fillers; Here’s Why It Is Sustainable & Realistic

I trust Bebo when she says that it's the Kapoor genes and red wine that do the charm for her to give her the flawless glow. I mean look at Karisma, her sister, Riddhima, her cousin, and all the other Kapoors who don't like to compromise on their diet and still exude an unwavering glow. But among them, it's the Begum of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who flaunts her raw self the most, and to be honest, I can't help but admire and laud her at the same time.
While the celebrities from the entertainment segment are going gaga over botox, fillers, and several other harsh chemical treatments, Kareena is the one whom I relate to the most. Why? Well, her simplistic and effortless approach towards beauty has been my favorite, and let me tell you this is sustainable too!
Right from her debut, Refugee(2000), when Bollywood was immersed in thick liner, bronzed look, and over the top metallic lips, Kareena ditched all those and dared to flaunt her bare skin(Of course the character demanded it, but again it was her choice to flaunt the raw self!)
Now, it is to be kept in mind that the actress might not keep herself away from pizzas, pastas, biryani, and moong dal ka halwa (It is the Insta handle that says it all), but her lifestyle choices that already help her to stay fit while keeping the skin free from all the impurities. To note more, her love for yoga has a positive effect on her skin, and there is no denying.
Kareena Kapoor Khan's Simple Skincare Routine That I Root For
Time and again, Kareena showcased that she relies heavily on a hydrating mask before she starts shooting or applying makeup. The reason behind this is to give the skin a clear canvas so that the makeup products glide like butter on the surface and give a second-skin-like effect. So, when you want a flawless no-makeup makeup look, you know what to do!
Now, coming to regular skincare routine- well, Kareena embraces age, the fine lines, the wrinkles and the experiences that come with it and the actress proves that she is aging like a fine wine.
The basic step of taking care of your skin is cleansing to extract all the dirt and impurities from the skin. Next, hydrating, which plays a crucial role keeping the skin youthful and plump.
You can also include an exfoliator after cleansing twice a week to clear the dead cells, blackheads and white heads. A retinol can be a good option that can be applied to prevent fine lines and wrinkles before applying a moisturizer. Make sure you are not pairing the retinol on the days you are applying an exfoliator.
Last but not the least, it is the sunscreen that you need to protect the skin which is reminded by Bebo time and again. A sunscreen is the mother of all skincare products and it is high time we acknowledge the fact.
Whether you are in your 30s or 40s, or even 50s, if this basic skincare routine is followed religiously and consistently, I think, they can overpower the effect of any botox and fillers. Even if the fine lines peek through, it doesn't harm to flaunt yourself unapologetically!
