Cannes 2026: Actress Aditi Budhathoki To Showcase South Asian Creations At Her Cannes Debut

Apart from the presentation of the best of world cinema, Cannes Film Festival is also one of the most exciting fashion platform globally. Actress Aditi Budhathoki, who is set to make her debut athe Cannes this year, is looking forward to making use of the opportunity and represent South Asian artistry on the global stage.

The actress insists that the preparation for her Cannes wardrobe has been an exciting experience for her. "The dream of finally experiencing the magic of Cannes is turning into a reality and it still feels surreal," she says, informing that she will be wearing the work of a Nepali designer for her red carpet appearance.

Getting this opportunity so early on in her career has been a dream come true for Aditi who has done a couple of music videos and also been a presenter at cricket' World Championship of Legends. "I have always l liked the glitz and glamour at Cannes and how people get to represent their films, culture and country. I am super excited and happy to have got that same opportunity," she says.

Providing details about her looks, Aditi shares, "I want my looks to feel elegant, timeless, and truly me. On day one, Iam wearing my friend Siwangi Pradhan's design and on day two, I'm wearing Gauri and Nainika creation." She adds, "For me, Cannes is more than just fashion and glamour. It represents art, cinema, culture, and global creativity coming together on one platform. Walking that red carpet as an Indian artist feels exciting and I hope to represent myself and India with grace and authenticity."
