. But it wasn't all work and no play on the sets, at least not with Devgan around. True to form, the actor roped in several people to play pranks on the unit, including the director himself. Ajay discovered a prank shop in Cape Town (South Africa), where he would buy stuff to play mischief on the entire unit.
Prankster No 1
Says Sinha, "We completed a big action film like Cash with eight stars in 51 days on an outdoor shoot, and that's quite an achievement. Especially considering how playful the entire cast was!"
While Riteish and Zayed played pranks on hapless producer Sohail Maklai, Anubhav got a taste of Devgan's infamous practical jokes too. "Everyone knows I love music. So one day, when I went on the sets and saw Riteish with an MP3 player, I was curious to know what he was listening to.
Everyone went gaga saying that it was a fantastic remix number and asked me to give it a listen. When I put the player on, I got a shock! The player had a mild current and it stunned me! Ajay had discovered this shop that specialises in selling prank products. He would bring one for the whole unit, play it on them for two days till he got bored and then get another one!"
As for him playing pranks on others, Anubhav says, "I discovered a brick in a studio that was made of foam. So we would throw the brick on unsuspecting people, who would scream and run away! It was a lot of fun."
Post Cash, Anubhav already has plans for his next production. He says, "There's a film called Airport (produced by K Sera Sera) with Sunny and Bobby Deol and Sunil Shetty. Plus, there will be three more heroes and two heroines. It's another big action adventure and will have a lot mid-air action."
On the personal front, there's a buzz that he's getting married to actress Shilpa Shetty next year. Anubhav grimaces, "Please! Are you mad? Shilpa is a wonderful friend and that's all there is to this rumour."
'Hello, Shilpa? It's Richard Gere'
