New Delhi (UNI): As an unconventional newcomer in Rahul Rawail's Bekhudi in the early 90s, this actress made an instant place in the heart of the filmmakers and cinegoers with her vivacity and spontaneity and her ''natural before the camera'' ability. Today, almost a decade and a half later, Kajol has established herself as one of the best known actresses among her peers. Thanks largely to her ability to essay varied characters like those in Yeh Dillagi, Dilwale Dulhanian Le Jayenge, Dushman, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and, more recently, Fanaa.

''It is the amazing spontaneity and vivacity that comes across in Kajol's numerous portrayals on the silver screen, coupled with her versatility as an actress that makes her stand out from among her peers'' Rahul Rawail, the director of her debut film Bekhudi and ace fashion photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha say as they reminisce about their experiences of working with her in Bekhudi. It will be Kudos and complements galore for Kajol as her friends, well wishers and family members take a walk down memory lane on the occasion of her birthday celebrations tomorrow. The actress's family friends and colleagues including mother Tanuja, sister Tanisha, close friends fashion designer Manish Malhotra and fashion photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha will cherish the most memorable moments of Kajol's life on a special show to be telecast on Star Gold tomorrow as part of the special birthday celebrations for the actress.

To be aired on the channel at 1100 Hours tomorrow, the special episode, titled Kuch Khatti kuch Meethi Yaadein, will take viewers through different phases in Kajol's life. The beginning of the episode will have her mother Tanuja talking about her birth and sister Tanisha reliving childhood memories. Later in the show, photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha and Rahul Rawail, director of her debut Bekhudi, recall their experiences of working with the unconventional and enthusiastic newcomer. The half and hour long show will also have fashion designer and Kajol's close friend Manish Malhotra talk about his camaraderie with the actress from the days of Dilwale Dulhanian Le Jayenge, the momentous film in Kajol's career.

The show will also capture some personal moments in the life of the actress as star make up artist Mickey Contractor reminisces on dressing up of the ''blushing bride'' on the wedding day. The episode will end with the actress' friends, family and colleagues recalling the birth of her daughter Nyasa. This is the latest in the series of programmes telecast by Star Gold to fete a Bollywood celebrity on her birthday. A few weeks ago, the channel had organised a similar programme on the occasion of birthday of former Miss World and bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.
