Antara's Mantra not too hot

What's the worst that can happen when a young actress decides to turn director? She casts herself in the film. Ram Gopal Varma's muse Antara Mali decided to turn director and who better to back him up than RGV himself. Big Mistake!

So what if she proved her mettle as an actor in Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chati Hoon (2003), her directorial debut and probably directorial finale Mr. Ya Miss (2005) could really strike a chord - with your nerves i.e. Antara Mali tried to do a Rob Schneider from The Hot Chick (2002) - a hamful performance which would have put poor Robbie to shame. The film revolved around a guy who turns into a girl (Antara). Antara's career ended and we haven't heard from her since. Maybe the DVD rental store near her house shut shop.

Pretty Uday

And last but so definitely not the least in Uday Chopra. Papa Yash gives sonny boy a film (also the DVD of the original) to star in and he blows your mind away (literally) with his undiscovered acting talent. Uday Chopra does a Julia Roberts in the Indian version of My Best Friend's Wedding.

The film Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002) changed everybody's gender from the original. Uday, in only his second film took great strides as an actor - not ahead but way behind. Switching from Hollywood to Bollywood can be easy but one can not really digest the fact that Julia Roberts has suddenly turned into Uday Chopra.

We just thank the producers of the original that they did not have RuPaul in the film otherwise Bobby Darling would have had a new role.

Also, Technically Jimmy Shergill did a Cameron Diaz.
