So
Woh
Lamhe
is
an
account
of
Mahesh
Bhatt's
relationship
with
Parveen
Babhi.
Well,
director
Mohit
Suri
apart
from
taking
inspiration
from
his
uncle's
life,
also
seems
to
be
inspired
from
the
Oscar
winning
Hollywood
flick
American
Beauty.
Here we see Kangana Ranaut (who was last seen in Gangster) in a tub of roses, a scene which was popularized by Mena Suvari in the 1999 film made by Sam Mendes. However, both the scenes look a bit different. In American Beauty, it was shown that Kevin Spacey was fantasizing about Suvari while in this picture it seems that Kangana is harrowed about something.
Original or not, Mohit Suri has given two hits in the name of Zeher and Kalyug and with a magical score backing them up, the Bhatts seem to have hit the bull eye once again.
Now before you think that the story is over, just scroll down and see for yourself Kangana's unoriginality being showcased all over.
Produced by Pahlaj Nihalani and to be directed by Deepak Shivdasani, this film never hit the floors. Pahlaj Nihalani claimed that Kangana had inhibitions of making her debut opposite Shatrughan Sinha who was finalized for the role. Kangana on the other hand claimed that the producers took too long to finalize the leading actor. However, there is no love lost from either side.
Once again original or not, Kangana's career is going great guns. Apart from Woh Lamhe, she has signed Suneel Darshan's Shaka Laka Boom Boom and has some more films in her kitty.
