The
superhero
syndrome
seems
to
have
finally
taken
off
in
Bollywood.
After
the
success
of
Hritik
Roshan
stater
Koi
Mil
Gaya
and
its
sequel
Krish
director
Shirish
Kunder
has
taken
on
an
ambitious
project
Joker.
The
movie
will
be
a
futuristic,
sci-fi
action
film
and
will
have
very
high
graphic
effects.
It
will
star
Akshay
Kumar
in
the
lead
role
As
with
most
of
the
sci-fi
movie
Joker
has
been
planned
as
a
trilogy.
The
first
in
the
series
is
slated
to
release
in
2009
the
second
and
the
third
sequel
will
soon
follow.
The
movie
will
be
dealing
with
the
topics
like
global
warming
and
its
consequences.
The
movie
will
however
narrate
the
idea
in
a
story
manner.
The
movie
is
in
the
pre-production
stage
which
will
involve
a
lot
of
graphics.
Kunder
wants
the
movie
to
be
a
technical
benchmark
for
future
Bollywood
movies.
It
will
borrow
technical
and
creative
ideas
from
movie
like
Spiderman.
Akshay
Kumar
has
recently
signed
for
the
project.
Initially
director
Kunder
had
cast
Shahrukh
Khan
in
the
movie
but
the
later
walked
away
after
having
differences
with
the
director
over
the
script.
Kunder
had
to
look
for
a
new
producer
and
Shahrukh's
home
production
house
Red
Chillies
Entertainment
was
in
charge
of
producing
the
movie.
The
success
of
Koi
Mil
Gaya
and
Krish
have
proved
the
demand
for
sci-fi
movies.
With
the
director
planning
three
sequels
of
the
movie
the
desi
audience
is
in
for
a
treat.
