Last
week,
when
Bobby
Deol
attended
an
event
organised
by
a
friend
in
Jallandhar
(Punjab),
he
was
mauled
by
fans
there.
Says Bobby, who is currently in Chandigarh shooting for Sangeeth Sivan's untitled film, "All I will say is that I had gone to attend a friend's function in Jallandhar and the fans there got a little out of hand.
Their love for my family and me was apparent. Somehow, I was pulled out from the chaos and was stuck for a while. Finally, they arranged for some security to rescue me."
Body blow
Though Bobby underplays the event, a close friend of the actor reveals, "Poor Bobby had to go without food and water for hours.
He had to wait at a dhaba and was nearly physically abused. For more than an hour, the crowd was grabbing and pulling at him from every direction.
Apart from trying to take pictures of him, they even grabbed at his clothes, his hair and just about anything they could get their hands on! It was quite traumatic for poor Bobby. Stars are used to getting mobbed, but this was a bad physical experience."
Brushing this talk aside, Bobby prefers to speak about the film he's currently shooting for instead. "It's an action film and also stars Nana Patekar and Chunky Pandey.
Currently, we are shooting a mela sequence in Chandigarh. Here too, the scene is very bad. There are too many people crowding around the set and after every shot we have to run to our vans or we will get mobbed," he says.
The film is as yet untitled. Laughs Bobby, "We are running out of titles as all titles have either come out already or have been registered."
Real v/s reel
Bobby has got himself a new look for Suneel Darshan's Shaka Laka Boom Boom. "Yes, and I think the braids looks really nice.
I did a photo session with my stylist Aalim for a promo and it worked, so we decided to use it in the film." So will he do it again? "No way! It's not easy to braid your hair. It is so painful!"
