The
world
is
changing
and
so
too
is
Bollywood.
In
fact,
it
is
changing
so
fast
that
morale
police
are
finding
it
too
hot
to
handle.
Some
people
are
always
around
to
make
a
feast
out
of
sleaze
films
while
others
are
under
cultural
shock.
Whatever
maybe,
someone
is
always
there
to
make
sure
that
the
show
goes
on.
Heroines
are
usually
roped
in
for
mere
glamour
quotient
in
Indian
cinema.
They
are
usually
pushed
to
the
backseat
while
heroes
are
glorified.
But
there
are
a
few
women
who
have
changed
the
face
of
Bollywood
like
no
man
could.
It
was
actress
Helen
who
drove
men
beyond
imaginations
with
her
revealing
moves
in
the
1970s.
Several
girls
came
after
Helen
to
make
a
change,
and
Madhuri
Dixit
was
one
of
them.
She
mesmerized
the
audience
with
her
flawless
dance
moves
besides
her
hot
looks.
However,
there
is
one
invincible
woman
who
changed
Bollywood
all
together.
And
the
girl
is
Urmila
Matondkar.
Ram
Gopal
Varma
extracted
the
best
out
of
Urmila
Matondkar
through
his
film
Rangeela.
He
rightly
spotted
her
strength
and
Urmila
seized
the
opportunity
with
open
arms.
People
could
not
believe
their
eyes
when
she
romanced
hero
Jackie
Shroff
on
the
screens.
Nobody
would
help
because
she
seemed
to
have
taken
away
the
reasoning
power
of
the
morale
police.
What
is
so
special
about
Urmila's
performance
in
Rangeela
is
that
she
changed
the
very
perception
of
being
sexy.
She
gave
out
a
message
to
the
world
and
Indians
in
particular
that
being
sexy
is
cool.
She
made
everything
so
sensual
and
at
the
same
time
kept
away
from
vulgarity.
Her
confidence
altered
the
mindset
of
the
public
like
never
before.
Today,
there
are
lots
of
girls
in
Bollywood
like
Mallika
Sherawat,
Rakhi
Sawant
and
Nisha
Kothari
to
name
a
few,
who
are
regularly
hitting
the
headlines
with
their
'dare-bare'
attitude
and
some
are
even
getting
into
trouble
because
of
it.
Amongst
these
girls,
Mallika
Sherawat
seems
to
be
the
hottest.
She
is
well
known
even
abroad.
In
fact,
her
on
screen
performance
earned
her
the
chance
to
act
with
Hollywood
actor
Jackie
Chan
in
the
film
The
Myth
but
Urmila
is
well
ahead
of
her.
Urmila
is
indeed
confidence
personified.
She
knows
what
a
guy
wants
and
she
knows
how
to
do
it
sensibly.
In
short,
she
is
very
much
responsible
for
bringing
about
transition
in
Bollywood
and
changing
the
perception
of
the
public
on
heroines.
Kudos
to
Urmila
for
blending
sensuality
and
sensibility.
