Eklavya garners rave reviews

The grand premiere of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya was a red carpet welcome for Mumbai's glitterati. The guests were welcomed by the Chopra family including Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Anupama Chopra and Vir Chopra. The entire cast and crew including Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Jimmy Shergill, Raima Sen, Sharmila Tagore, Shantanu Moitra and Swanand Kirkire were all there to welcome the other guests.

In another first for Bollywood, the music for the film was released to the media before the premier. The music was released by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the stars of the film who distributed the CDs to the excited media.

The Royal Guard was granted a befitting royal audience as dignitaries poured in support of Amitabh Bachchan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Amar Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Kumar Mangalam and Neerja Birla, Rakeysh Mehra, Rekha, Moushami Chatterjee, Fardeen Khan, Sanjay , Zarine and Zayed Khan, A.N. Roy etc.

Eklavya-The Royal Guard which released on Friday has had a bumper opening with all the halls booked for the weekend and showing heavy demand for the forthcoming weeks in the Indian and international markets. The film has been getting rave reviews from the Indian and international media as well as various celebrities across the board.
