Karishma looking towards Bollywood
Karishma Tanna, who was last seen in a negative role in 'Ek Ladki Anjani Si', is taking a break from television and looking towards films. She is currently busy with anchoring and fashion shows and says that she is happy doing them. Nevertheless, Karishma is eagerly waiting for the right break in Bollywood. We recently talked to her on her current assignments, future plans and her experience in the telly industry. Here is the excerpt.
What
are
you
doing
presently?
Presently,
I
am
doing
a
lot
of
fashion
shows,
anchoring
and
other
things.
I'm
also
looking
out
for
a
good
role.
Have
you
received
any
roles
yet?
Yes,
I
have
received
a
number
of
roles,
but
I
do
not
find
them
interesting
enough.
Actually,
I'm
taking
break
from
television
and
I
am
not
too
keen
on
roles
out
here.
So
is
the
film
career
in
the
pipeline?
Yes,
I
have
a
project
in
the
pipeline
but
it
is
too
early
too
say
anything
about
it.
Is
that
role
appealing?
I
think
that
as
a
beginner
in
films,
it
is
a
good
role.
But
then,
as
I
said
it,
is
too
early
to
say
anything.
What
kind
of
roles
are
you
looking
forward
to?
I
do
not
want
to
portray
negative
characters
any
more.
Nor
am
I
interested
in
comedy.
I
think
I
would
like
to
do
a
detective
kind
of
role
and
would
be
glad
if
I'm
offered
one.
So
how
was
your
experience
in
Ek
Ladki...
Mind
blowing.
It
was
the
first
negative
character
that
I
had
done
and
it
was
one
of
the
few
good
characters
that
had
been
offered
to
me.
The
production
house
is
also
very
good.
Are
you
missing
Ek
Ladki....
and
your
co-stars?
I
miss
my
character
a
lot
and
not
my
co-stars.
How
has
been
your
experience
in
the
television
industry
so
far?
It
has
been
a
good
journey
so
far.
I
have
matured
so
much.
I
have
understood
so
many
things
and
the
people
and
the
way
they
work.
I
have
understood
how
to
deal
with
people
and
situations.
Do
you
find
any
changes
in
the
industry?
No,
I
do
not
find
any
changes.
You
said
that
you
are
anchoring.
Is
it
a
television
show?
No,
it
is
not
television
shows,
but
live
events
and
concerts.
I'm
really
enjoying
my
work.
It
is
so
different
from
acting
and
I'm
happy
doing
it.
And
modeling?
Yes,
I
have
just
finished
a
modeling
assignment
and
probably
on
May
27,
I
would
be
doing
another
one.
Do
you
relate
to
any
of
the
characters
that
you
have
played?
I
relate
to
all
the
characters
that
I
have
played
till
now
to
some
extend
or
the
other
because
I
feel
that
no
person
can
be
an
absolute
comedy,
stupid,
negative
or
gray.
A
person
is
a
mixture
of
all
these
qualities.
