Nisha Kothari bowled over by Kapil Dev

By Super Admin

Nisha Kothari recently shot for an ad film with former cricketer Kapil Dev. Ever since, she's been over the moon about him.

Describing the experience, Nisha says, "It was for a perfume ad that I met Kapil Dev for the first time. The perfume's called Trophy and is interestingly shaped like a cricket ball. They will be launching it during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. We recently shot for the promotional ad."

He is hot!

Nisha loved the experience of shooting with Kapil Dev, who is known to be a ladies' man. "He was very charming and it was a great experience. Kapil was trying to teach me how to bowl and hold the ball. He said all girls should learn to play the game. He is an extremely electrifying and elegant personality," says a visibly impressed Nisha.

What did she like the most in Kapil Dev? "I found him very hot! We shot together for two days and never once did I feel like he was a star. In fact, he is very down-to-earth and humble," says the actress.

Cool with Ajay

Last week, the actress completed a funky song with Ajay Devgan for Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay. Nisha says, "I find Ajay very sweet and professional. It's a very funky number and I experimented with various looks with my designer Maitree."

The song has Nisha pulling Ajay's ears. Wasn't she scared considering Ajay's aloof reputation? "I know Ajay is my senior but I didn't feel scared. The only day I felt nervous with him was on the first day when he entered the set. But Ajay broke the ice and made me feel comfortable. After that he has been very helpful. Fortunately, he didn't play any pranks on me! Of course, the shooting is not over. I am waiting for him to do something."

Ghungroo baaje

Nisha insists she is not daunted by the fact that she is playing Basanti, a character immortalised by Hema Malini. "I loved the original Sholay, so it's an honour for me to play Basanti.

Hemaji was mind-blowing, but give me a chance to prove myself. My character Ghungroo is completely different from Basanti, including the way she carries herself. Initially, I was very nervous about whether I could do Basanti's role, but now I have left it to God. I have given it my best shot," concludes Nisha.
