Ace
director
Priyadarshan
directs
10
Hindi
films
in
a
row
for
a
single
producer
in
the
next
6
years.
Recently,
he
had
signed
an
agreement
for
this
with
a
corporate
film
company
and
the
work
for
the
first
film
will
be
commenced
soon.
Priyadarshan
is
the
only
South
Indian
director,
who
is
successfully
surviving
in
Bollywood
almost
for
a
decade
with
his
own
style
of
making.
Most
of
his
films
are
made
in
medium
budget
with
second
run
heroes
and
artists
and
rocks
the
box
office.
Now
many
leading
heroes
including
Salman
Khan
and
Shahrukh
are
also
eager
to
act
in
Priyadharshan's
films.
But
the
director
always
trusts
his
own
style,
not
any
hero's
image.
His
recent
release
Bhool
Bhulaiyaa,
the
Hindi
remake
of
Chandramukhi
also
doing
fare
business
in
overseas.
This
week
the
film
also
got
a
place
in
UK
top
10.
Now
a
Corporate
Film
Company
has
signed
Priyadarshan
to
direct
10
films
continuously
for
the
next
6
years.
While
Talking
about
this,
Priyadarshan
told,
"Yes…
what
you
heard
is
true.
Very
recently,
I
signed
the
agreement
with
the
company.
But
at
this
stage,
I
couldn't
reveal
the
name
of
the
concern.
I
will
tell
you
later…"
The
director
further
says:
"I
will
have
to
complete
all
these
10
films
in
the
next
6
years.
Generally
in
Hindi,
a
director
can
hardly
complete
only
one
film
per
year.
But
I
can
make
more
than
4
films
per
year.
One
could
even
beat
me,
if
he
concentrated
more
in
his
work.
Concentration
and
honesty
are
the
secret
of
my
survival
in
Bollywood.
I
learn
this
'professional
mantra'
from
Malayalam
industry.
Otherwise
I
would
be
thrown
out
from
Bollywood.
Still
few
jealousy
people
are
in
Bollywood
to
keep
South
Indian
talents
far
away
from
the
industry.
But
I
take
them
as
the
forces
which
induced
me
to
work
hard…"
Few
days
before,
a
newspaper
reported
that
Priyadarshan
joins
hands
with
Shahrukh
Khan
in
his
next
film.
But
the
director
categorically
denied
the
report
and
comments:
"There
is
no
need
for
big
heroes
for
my
stories.
Then
why
should
I
beg
the
call
sheet
from
them?
And
also
I
never
have
belief
on
star
values.
Only
the
story
is
the
hero
in
all
my
films.
My
films
are
only
running
for
my
name
and
story
values;
not
for
the
face
value
of
the
heroes…"
