Settling down the Queen B style

Post the Abhiash fairy tale wedding and the John Bips break up and patch up, reports poured in about Queen B Rani Mulkerjee's hush hush engagement and wedding plans with director Aditya Chopra. The talks of this affair have been going on for quite sometime and this piece of news seemed to corroborate it all. But not surprisingly, both parties involved denied the engagement.

In Bollywood covering up is no new thing. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai too kept on denying their affair till the grand engagement and later the wedding. Mahima Choudhry kept her marriage a secret until she fell pregnant and people started talking about her single mom status. John Abraham and Bipasha Basu are now busy defending their relationship which the media claimed to have fallen apart.

As for Rani, she would most probably prefer to remain the queen in every sense possible. She might have had alleged liaisons with co stars Anil Kapoor and Govinda, but it seems when it comes to marriage she is not going to settle for anything less. In the past there were talks about her being a great buddy of Abhishek Bachchan and reportedly her deep willingness to be the next Mrs Bachchan. Gossip mongers claim that Rani was apparently dropped like a hot potato by the Bachchans for her foul mouth, bad behavior and supposed 'not very classy' family background. It was said that Jaya Bachchan was not too pleased with her behaviour. Instead they preferred the ethereally beautiful, classy, the soft spoken and the internationally famous Aishwarya Rai who also happens to be Rani's arch rival, as the Bachchan bahu.

The Chopras are a huge clan in Bollywood and if the rumours are true, Rani's association with the brain behind the multi crore empire, Aditya Chopra comes as no surprise. The Queen B would definitely want to be with some one who befits her standards. Now there is no clear picture as to whether this liaison explains the casting of Rani in every other Yash Raj Film or the straining of Aditya and wife Payal Khanna's relationship over this or Aditya's divorce with Payal creating a dent in his relationship with his family, in the process putting the multi-crore Chopra empire in jeopardy.

Since the 'Roka' ceremony in Chopra house has been called a figment of over active imaginations, no one is sure about the truth. So until the whole truth comes out, the world has to wait and watch. But whatever it is, when it comes to settling down Rani would only do it Queen B style. There are no two ways about it.
