After Rakhi Sawant, Celina Jaitley and Yana Gupta, now Sherlyn Chopra is all set to support PETA through their ad campaign. This bombshell will dress up as a Victoria's Secret model. She will be presented very sexily in the advertisement. Sherlyn will be clad in sexy lingerie with chains and whips in her hands.
Excited about her association with PETA, Sherlyn informs that the ad is against cruelty towards animals in the circus. PETA discussed a beautiful concept with her and she agreed to do it. She says, "The concerned people read some articles about me and they thought that I could speak on any given topic. They thought the glamorous image that I am portraying these days might be of help to the cause of spreading the message."
Every PETA ad has its unique way of conveying their message. So what will be special in this ad? "They want me to dress up as a Victoria's Secret model where I'll be wearing sexy lingerie with chains and whips in my hands. Then there would be an accompanying logo which would read as 'Chains and whips are meant to be used in the bedroom and not on animals.' This is the message that they want to put across. It is basically a glamorous way of saying that watching an animal perform for entertainment is very uncool and there is nothing good about it. Animals are meant to play in the wild. Confining them and teaching them to perform tricks is very derogatory. This is what we want to put across through the campaign", explains Sherlyn.
According to Sherlyn the authorities at PETA are contemplating photographer Rakesh Shreshta to shoot the advertisement. She informs that they have to sit together and decide about the theme - if they want her to team up the lingerie with any other clothing or not. Divulging more about the same she says, "They have seen some of my Bikini-clad photographs clicked by photographer Rakesh Shreshta which are very beautiful though I am with minimal clothing. So with such an appeal, I can cater to the classes and the masses as well. So, it's about telling people in beautiful, glamorous and subtle ways that why not chain the animal inside of us and let the animals outside leave in peace and have a glamorous life as well in the wild."
When asked what she personally feels about the issue she quickly replies, "They showed me a couple of tapes showing how an animal's skin or fur was peeled and later was used as an accessory or a piece of clothing. The tapes also showed how brutally chickens and cows were killed and how the animals are trapped when they are innocently playing in the wild. I was really dumbstruck watching these tapes. I feel awareness is the key to understanding and these people enlightened me by showing these tapes. So, if I could help even in a slightest degree, it would be mission accomplished for me."
Even though Sherlyn is busy with her other film projects she is glad to pose for PETA campaign. "I would contribute to the cause by not wearing fur myself though I never had a fetish for fur clothing or accessories. So the next time I see fur clothing in a shopping mall, I would definitely not buy it as it is not at all fashionable wearing an animal's skin as your clothing." she concludes.
