Vipin
Sharma,
the
man
who
played
the
role
of
Darsheel
Safary's
father
in
Taare
Zameen
Par
is
mighty
excited.
His
first
stint
with
acting
in
Bollywood
is
now
reaching
out
for
a
global
platform.
Naturally
he
prides
himself
on
that
and
is
more
than
happy
to
lend
a
helping
hand
in
lobbying
for
the
film.
"I
have
lived
in
Canada
for
15
years
and
have
worked
there
in
quite
a
few
independent
English
films
in
various
capacities.
Now
is
the
time
for
me
to
gain
from
all
the
contacts
that
I
have
built
there
over
the
years",
says
Vipin
Sharma
who
won
accolades
for
his
true-to-life
performance
in
Taare
Zameen
Par
which
is
continuing
to
make
waves.
"I
am
traveling
to
Canada
soon
and
would
be
doing
my
bit
in
creating
awareness
about
Taare
Zameen
Par.
Though
it
would
be
stating
the
fact,
it
cannot
be
denied
that
Taare
Zameen
Par
is
a
prestigious
project
and
deserves
global
viewing.
Aamir
Khan
has
a
great
experience
behind
him
since
he
has
lobbied
for
Lagaan
as
well
as
Rang
De
Basanti.
At
my
end,
I
would
come
up
with
my
share
of
contribution
and
help
the
film
gain
momentum
by
the
time
Oscar
nominees
list
is
announced",
says
Vipin
hopefully.
During
his
stint
in
Canada,
Vipin
has
acted
in
quite
a
few
short
films
that
include
titles
like
Commentary:
On,
The
Squeeze
Box
and
Mrs.
and
Mr.
Moosewood
amongst
others.
In
addition,
he
has
handled
other
departments
of
filmmaking
as
well
and
gained
rich
experience
in
different
fields.
"However,
my
heart
always
lied
in
acting",
admits
Vipin
Sharma,
"I
am
an
NSD
graduate
and
had
moved
to
Toronto,
Canada
for
further
training.
I
was
there
at
the
Canadian
Film
Center
and
during
my
stint
in
the
country;
I
started
working
on
numerous
English
projects.
I
was
involved
with
the
editing
side
of
mainstream
Canadian
TV
and
did
a
bit
of
experimental
cinema.
Then
Taare
Zameen
Par
happened
and
though
I
continued
to
frequent
between
India
and
Canada,
now
I
have
moved
to
Mumbai
for
good."
Life
after
Taare
Zameen
Par
has
been
busy
for
the
actor.
He
has
already
made
his
presence
felt
in
films
like
Jannat
and
1920.
"Yes,
I
am
looking
forward
to
some
more
exciting
projects
happening
from
here
on.
I
am
continuing
to
work
on
Indian
as
well
as
International
projects.
However,
the
focus
right
now
is
to
see
Taare
Zameen
Par
being
evangelized
amongst
as
big
an
audience
as
possible.
It
is
a
film
which
is
very
close
to
my
heart",
concludes
Vipin.
