“Motherhood is very tough,” Mahima Chaudhary
Bollywood babe Mahima Chaudhary was recently in Bangalore to inaugurate 'Samaavesha', a Bangalore"s landmark interior store, which has got wonderful collection of electric mix of tiles, floorings, stone finishes, plywood & veneer, laminates, wallpapers, blinds, lighting solutions and sanitary and bathroom wares. Meanwhile, she talked about her marriage, motherhood and her future career plans. Here are excerpts of Mahima Chaudhary"s interview.
What
was
your
feeling
when
you
came
to
know
about
your
pregnancy?
I
got
married
to
Boby
Mukharjee
when
I
was
in
US.
I
wore
a
red
saree,
which
was
presented
by
one
of
my
close
friends.
When
I
came
to
know
about
my
pregnancy,
I
called
up
her
and
told
that
I
was
two
weeks
pregnant.
She
urged
me
to
reveal
it
to
everyone.
But
I
told
her
that
there
would
not
be
any
problem
till
my
stomach
developed.
I
suggested
her
to
keep
the
matter
secret
until
I
made
it
public.
She
did
it.
How
did
you
face
pregnancy
and
what
is
your
opinion
about
motherhood?
I
didn't
face
any
problem
during
pregnancy.
I
normally
performed
dance
till
I
was
six
and
a
half
months
pregnant.
Only
last
one
month,
I
took
rest
without
engaging
in
any
activity
of
my
career.
As
far
as
Motherhood
is
concerned,
it's
really
very
tough.
There
is
no
day
off.
Would
mind
staying
away
from
your
family
now?
I
don"t
want
to
miss
my
family,
especially
my
daughter
Aryana.
She
is
very
cute
and
every
day,
she
is
learning
one
new
thing.
I
would
like
to
enjoy
her
learning
new
words
everyday.
After
the
marriage,
I
started
cooking.
Now,
motherhood
has
made
me
crazier
about
cooking.
I"m
getting
more
and
more
acquainted
with
the
kitchen
stuffs,
especially
preparing
nutrition
food
for
my
baby.
Do
you
have
any
post-motherhood
plans
of
acting?
Now,
I
am
going
through
the
mails
in
my
email
account.
I
have
received
so
many
scripts.
I
am
trying
to
go
through
it.
Once
I
will
finish
with
it,
I
will
let
you
know
about
forthcoming
film
projects.
Do
you
have
any
a
particular
character,
which
you
desperately
wants
play?
I
don"t
have
choice
of
any
particular
character,
but
I
would
love
play
the
roles,
which
are
entertaining.
So
far,
you
have
played
many
roles.
Which
role
do
you
think
is
very
close
to
your
heart?
I've
played
many
roles.
I
can"t
tell
you
which
one
is
the
best
and
very
close
to
my
heart.
I
liked
my
role
in
Dil
Kya
Kare
and
Ye
Tera
Ghar
Ye
Mera
Ghar.
Do
you
think
that
Bollywood
film
industry
has
grown
to
different
level
after
the
release
of
the
movies
like
Fashion
and
Rock
On?
I
think
Instead
of
Bollywood
the
audiences
have
improved
a
lot.
They
have
improved
their
taste.
They
want
to
see
everything
in
one
single
movie.
They
want
to
see
comedy,
action
sentimental
sequence
and
glamour
in
one
movie.
What
do
you
feel
about
IIFA
award
2009?
I
feel
very
bad
for
missing
IIFA
award
2009.
I
wanted
to
attend
the
event.
But
I
had
to
cancel
my
tour
at
the
last
moment,
because
my
daughter
had
joined
the
school
just
two
days
before
the
event.
What
is
your
impression
about
Bangalore?
Bangalore
is
wonderful
city
to
live
in.
Weather
in
Bangalore
is
amazing.
It"s
traditional
and
cultured
city
with
lots
of
educated
people.
It
has
progressed
tremendously
in
the
past
couple
of
years.
Another
speciality
of
the
city
is
that
this
is
first
city
to
encourage
the
bar
culture.
One
can
go
and
enjoy
drinks
and
disco
at
the
pubs.
How
do
you
find
the
store
'Samaavesha'?
I
loved
the
store
'Samaavesha'.
It's
got
rich
collection
of
interior
designs.
I
saw
some
of
the
rare
and
best
home
designs
in
this
store.
It
is
really
nice
to
have
everything
under
the
one
roof.
My
hubby
is
an
architect.
When
I
told
him
that
I'm
going
launch
interior
store,
he
asked
me
to
bring
the
brochure.
I'm
sure
that
he'll
be
very
happy
to
see
the
brochure
of
'Samaavesha'.
