She defined the word glamour and was the first bold actress in the tinsel town much before the Mallika Sherawats and Sherlyn Chopras had learnt to speak. She was the second runner up in the Miss India Contest and went on to win the Miss Asia Pacific in 1970. She was a blockbuster delivery machine and some of her notable movies were Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Don, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Hare Raama Hare Krishna.
