Tanushree won the Miss India title in 2004 and forayed into Bollywood with the movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005. Although she is yet to establish herself as a top grade star in the industry some of her notable movies have been Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets, Good Boy, Bad Boy and Dhol.
