Just
yesterday,
we
had
reported
that
Madhur
Bhandarkar's
Jail
was
confirmed
for
the
6th
November
clash
with
Ajab
Prem
Ki
Ghazab
Kahani.
Well,
picture
abhi
baaki
hai
mere
dost!
Because,
close
on
the
heels
of
much
awaited
Ranbir
and
Neil
box
office
clash,
Shahid
Kapoor
has
also
joined
the
fray.
Now
his
Chance
Pe
Dance
too
would
be
arriving
on
the
same
day,
hence
resulting
in
a
three
way
clash.
Even
though
director
Ken
Ghosh
was
unavailable
for
comment,
a
reliable
source
confirmed
that
plans
are
indeed
being
put
together
for
Chance
Pe
Dance
to
be
readied
for
6th
November
release.
"The
film
is
complete
and
the
promotion
should
begin
any
time
now.
As
of
now,
6th
November
looks
like
the
best
bet
for
the
Shahid
Kapoor-Genelia
D'Souza
starrer
to
release."
If
the
three
films
indeed
release
on
the
same
day,
it
would
be
the
biggest
and
most
interesting
for
clash
of
2009.
After
all,
there
is
a
lot
in
store
for
each
of
the
three
principal
protagonists
in
the
three
films.
Neil
has
to
consolidate
his
position
after
New
York,
Ranbir
has
to
live
up
to
his
young
heart
throb
image
while
Shahid
would
eventually
create
a
big
star
standing
for
himself
if
Chance
Pe
Dance
as
well
as
Dil
Bole
Hadippa
click
at
the
box
office
after
Kaminey.
Given
a
chance
though,
Shahid
would
have
liked
to
have
his
films
spaced
out.
"See,
such
things
can
work
either
ways.
If
they
all
click,
then
well...wow,
that's
great.
In
the
ideal
world,
it
is
good
to
have
some
gap
between
your
films.
But
then,
2009
has
hardly
been
an
ideal
world
with
releases
being
impacted
due
to
producer's
strike,
swine
flu
etc.
These
have
been
hectic
times
for
me
too,
as
I
have
been
shooting
for
Parmeet
Sethi's
Yash
Raj
film
during
and
around
the
release
of
Kaminey.
I
am
into
the
promotion
of
Dil
Bole
Hadippa
now
and
soon
after
its
release,
I
fly
off
to
US
for
Parmeet's
film.
Then
I
return
for
the
promotion
of
Chance
Pe
Dance."
This
is
why
the
release
plans
for
Chance
Pe
Dance
on
6th
November
have
to
be
taken
with
a
pinch
of
salt.
The
splurge
of
biggies
all
through
November
only
makes
the
scenario
increasingly
uncomfortable
for
the
makers.
That's
because
as
of
now
November
has
one
biggie
a
week
due
to
arrival
of
Tum
Mile
(13th
November),
Paa
(20th)
and
De
Dana
Dan
(27th
Nov).
Still,
it
would
always
be
better
for
one
of
the
three
releases
on
6th
November
to
arrive
on
a
later
week
and
get
into
a
two-way
clash
than
the
originally
planned
three-way
clash.
"Ken
is
ready
with
his
product
but
one
has
to
be
seen
whether
logistically
it
would
be
possible
to
bring
Chance
Pe
Dance
on
6th
November",
says
an
industry
insider,
"A
clash
like
this
with
two
other
big
films
is
good
for
making
spicy
headlines
and
get
some
good
gossip,
buzz
and
hype
going.
However,
the
actors
as
well
as
other
stakeholders
involved
with
the
film
may
not
necessarily
be
gung-ho
about
this.
Let's
see
who
eventually
backs
out
from
the
6th
November
plans
and
comes
later."
