Omi Vaidya: The 4th Idiot

3 Idiots has got an expected start at the Box Office and people are going gaga over perfectionist actor Aamir Khan and two of his idiots friends Sharman Joshi and Madhavan. Most of us are missing on Omi Vaidya aka Chatur Ramalingam aka Silencer the fourth idiot in the movie. Omi not only played a supporting role in the movie but played a pivotal role in it. He joined the missing link at the start of the movie in the hunt for Rancho or Ranncchoddas Shamalaldas Chanchad played by Aamir.

Omi's role of a Hindi challenged guy was one of the stand out performances of the movie. It was a perfectionist act by a person who was acting in a movie with the Perfectionist Khan. The scene where he delivered the opening address on stage turned an old childish joke into what is one of the film's funniest scenes. If the scene had Raj Kumar Hirani's brilliance it also had Omi's pitch-perfect expressions and delivery.

The American born Vaidya is a multi talented person. He has directed two short films The Desert Roes and Out of Time. He has also worked as an editor on a number of others like Blind Ambition, Remember The Days and The God Bracelet. Omi is best known for his television performance as Sadiq in The Office, E-mail Surveillance and Fun Run. He also appeared in Arrested Development.
