Hopeless hat trick with 6 more films this Friday

By Super Admin

There has been a deluge of films released in the last weeks, but none could prove their mettle and emerge as a winner. Quick Gun Murugan, Chintuji and Daddy Cool stood out, because of no alternative options. With so many films chocking the multiplex this week, yet again it will be a quality-less wholesale filmy Friday. Let"s have a look over these films and see whether things have a potential to improve.

Aamras:
Expectations are bound to come with this film. Why? Firstly, Aamras marks the debut venture of Rupali Guha; the daughter of great filmmaker Basu Chatterjee, as a director. So, will this film live up to the expectations? Well, not even a single star to back the film becomes its major drawback. And what compounds to the misery are the poor promotions. Still, this film has Basu Chatterjee, the only saving grace to bring in audience to the theatres; rest will depend on the strong word-of-mouth, then be it bad or good.

Baabarr: The makers have left no stones unturned to market the film. Apart from veterans like Om Puri and Mithun Chakraborty, the film has a suspense packed in the form of main-lead, whose face is going to be revealed in the film. Considering this fact, and also the fact that this is the only film that has been well promoted, one can expect regular cine-goers to watch the film. But again, a word of caution; much will depend on the word-of-mouth, which will decide the fate of the film.

Ruslaan, Shaabash! You Can Do It, The Unforgettable and Vaada Raha... I promise: Hopelessness is synonymous with these films. Poor is way too small word to describe the promotional status of these films. Nothing can save them from bombarding at the box-office.
