Bollywood
actor
Ranbir
Kapoor,
who
has
completed
the
shooting
of
director
Prakash
Jha"s
upcoming
movie
Raajneeti
and
is
eagerly
waiting
for
its
release,
has
said
that
he
has
leaned
a
lot
about
politics
but
he
is
not
qualified
enough
to
enter
politics.
He
thinks
that
Dr.
Manmohan
Singh
is
the
most
qualified
man
and
he
really
fits
in
the
position
of
ideal
Prime
Minister
of
India.
The
Bollywood
actor,
who
is
busy
promoting
the
film
Raajneeti,
was
at
IIM
Bangalore
on
last
Monday.
As
part
of
the
promotion
of
Raajneeti,
he
took
part
in
the
debate
on
whether
an
MLA/MP
aspirant
should
necessarily
have
a
degree.
Along
with
Prakash
Raj
and
Katrina
Kaif,
he
opined
that
degree
should
not
be
made
mandatory
while
IIM
Professor
Raju
Gowda,
Manoj
Bajpei
and
screenplay
writer
Anjum
Rajabali
argued
them
that
it
should
be
made
compulsory
for
an
MLA/MP.
Debating
on
the
issue,
Ranbir
Kapoor
said,
“Like
Katrina,
I"ve
also
not
done
graduation
in
any
stream.
Moreover,
70%
of
the
Indian
population
is
staying
in
rural
part
and
they
don"t
have
a
facility
to
get
higher
education.
If
degree
is
made
compulsory,
all
of
them
will
be
out
of
politics,
which
is
not
fair
according
to
the
constitution.
There
are
several
instances
that
learned
people
have
failed
to
govern
the
state/country
and
many
graduate
MLA/MPs
have
involved
in
corruption
and
big
scams.
That"s
why
I
staunchly
disagree
with
the
idea
that
MLA/MP
should
have
graduation."
The
Bollywood
actor
is
all
excited
about
his
role
in
the
movie
Raajneeti.
He
said,
“I"m
playing
Samar
Pratap,
who
is
the
ultimate
outsider.
After
completing
his
studies
in
abroad,
he
returns
to
India,
but
reluctantly
gets
sucked
into
the
ravaged-battle
arena
of
family
rivalry.
He
gets
into
fierce
fight
to
protect
his
family.
Though
it
is
a
tough
role,
I
think
I've
done
justice
to
it.
I"m
really
grateful
to
director
Prakash
Jha
for
selecting
me
for
the
role."
Speaking
about
whether
he
contemplates
to
be
a
politician
in
future,
he
said,
“After
working
in
the
movie
Raajneeti,
I
have
leaned
so
many
things
about
the
politics.
But
I
think
I"m
not
qualified
enough
to
enter
politics
because
one
need
burning
desire
and
vision
to
build
a
state/country.
I
don"t
have
that
passion
towards
politics.
I
love
acting
in
movies
and
I
would
continue
to
do
it.
I
would
never
enter
politics."
Ranbir
Kapoor
considers
Dr.
Manmohan
Singh
as
the
ideal
politician
of
India.
He
said,
“Dr.
Manmohan
Singh
is
the
most
learned
man
and
has
experience
almost
all
the
portfolios.
He
is
honest
and
humble
man,
whom
India
has
never
seen
before.
So
I
think
he
deserves
the
most
responsible
position
and
he
is
the
ideal
Prime
Minister
of
India."
