Rakhi
Sawant
is
no
stranger
when
it
comes
to
either
controversies
or
better
still,
calling
a
spade
a
spade.
On
one
hand,
Rakhi
is
all
over
the
telly
land
with
her
new
show
'Rakhi
Ka
Insaaf'
on
a
leading
channel,
on
the
other
hand,
this
'item-bomb'
has
now
done
her
bit
for
the
animals.
She
has
stripped
down
to
tiger
stripes
for
a
new
anti-circus
ad
for
People
for
the
Ethical
Treatment
of
Animals
(PETA).
The
said
ad
shows
Rakhi
wielding
a
whip
as
two
men
cower
before
her,
and
the
caption
reads,
'Beaten.
Tortured.
Scared.
Exotic
Animals
Belong
in
the
Wild,
Not
in
the
Circus'.
Sources
said
that,
through
this
ad,
both,
Rakhi
as
well
as
PETA
want
to
appeal
to
everyone
to
make
them
aware
that
animals
in
circuses
are
subjected
to
chronic
confinement,
physical
abuse
and
psychological
torment.
Even
the
animal's
access
to
water,
food
and
veterinary
care
is
often
severely
restricted.
Hence,
one
needs
to
do
their
bit
towards
the
safety
of
these
animals.
Rakhi
Sawant
was
transformed
into
a
'Tigress'
by
the
body
paint
expert
Al
Alva,
and
the
ad
was
shot
by
photographer
Colston
Julian.
