Everyone
knows
Ajay
Devgn's
father
Veeru
Devgan
is
one
of
the
foremost
action-coordinators
in
the
entertainment
industry.
What
is
not
that
well-known
is
the
fact
the
Ajay's
favourite
director
Rohit
Shetty
is
also
the
son
of
a
famous
action-coordinator.
Rohit
is
the
son
of
Shetty,
the
well-known
stunt
director
and
actor
of
the
1970s.
Shetty
was
not
only
the
biggest
most
in-demand
stunt
director
of
the
1970s
and
80s,
but
he
was
also
famous
for
his
villainous
roles
which
he
performed
in
tandem
with
his
behind-the-camera
job
as
an
action
director.
In
a
film
that
Rohit
Shetty
will
direct
in
the
second-half
of
2010
with
Ajay
Devgn
in
the
lead,
the
two
men
pay
homage
to
their
fist-friendly
fathers
who
specialized
in
action
sequences.
Says
Rohit
Shetty,
"Isn't
it
only
natural
that
Ajay
and
I
get
together
for
an
action
film?
Action
and
stunts
are
in
our
genes.
Ajay
began
his
career
with
an
action
flick
Phool
Aur
Kaante.
In
fact
in
Golmaal
2
I
had
replicated
the
scene
of
Ajay
perched
between
two
speeding
motorbikes,
his
entrance
scene
in
Phool
Aur
Kaante.
During
that
film
I
was
an
assistant
and
that's
where
our
friendship
started."
The
most
interesting
part
of
this
action
flick
would
be
that
all
the
action
sequences
and
stunts
would
be
directed
by
Rohit
Shetty,
with
huge
inputs
from
Ajay.
Says
the
director,
"Yes
me
and
my
team
will
be
directing
the
action.
I
believe
the
director
knows
best
how
the
action
scenes
will
carry
the
story
forward.
And
I
don't
want
the
action
scenes
to
be
like
items.
They'll
be
carrying
the
story
forward.
By
the
way
even
my
songs
look
aggressive
enough
to
be
considered
action
scenes."
Rohit
says
the
stunts
that
Devgn
will
perform
in
this
action
film
will
be
unlike
anything
seen
before.
Says
Rohit,
"Like
I
said
action
is
in
my
blood.
I
started
my
career
in
direction
with
an
action
film
Zameen,
and
then
did
comedies.
But
you
can't
keep
the
Shetty
out
of
me." This
action
film
will
be
dedicated
to
Ajay
and
Rohit's
fathers.
