be
premiered
at
the
67th
Venice
Film
Festival,
which
will
be
held
from
September
1
to
11
at
Venice
Lido.
The
movie
has
been
chosen
for
the
Out-of-Competition
section.
That
Girl
In
Yellow
Boots
stars
Kalki
Koechlin
and
veteran
actor
Naseeruddin
Shah.
The
story
revolves
around
Ruth,
played
by
Kalki,
who
comes
to
Mumbai
in
search
of
her
long
lost
father,
whom
she
does
not
know
well
but
cannot
forget
too.
In
search
of
her
father,
Ruth
takes
up
the
job
of
a
masseuse
without
a
permit.
After
sometime,
the
city"s
sordid
side
overshadows
her
and
she
gets
into
the
dept
of
the
city's
underbelly.
Her
misery
piles
on.
National
Film
Development
Corporation
of
India
(NFDC)
has
co-produced
the
film,
which
will
also
be
displayed
at
the
upcoming
Toronto
International
Film
Festival
(TIFF).
Reacting
on
this,
an
excited
Anurag
says,
“I
am
feeling
like
on
the
top
of
the
world.
I
am
grateful
to
NFDC
for
completing
the
movie
at
its
post-production
stage.
I
am
also
thankful
to
Sanjay
Singh,
Ronnie
Screwvala
and
Sikhya
Entertainment,
who
offered
their
unconditional
support
by
lending
me
the
money."
The
cast
and
crew
of
That
Girl
In
Yellow
Boots
also
includes
Prashant
Prakash,
Shivkumar
Subramaniam,
Gulshan
Devaiya,
Kumud
Mishra,
Divya
Jagdale,
and
Kartik
Krishnan.
Anurag
Kashyap
and
Kalki
Koechlin
have
co-written
the
film.
Naren
Chandavarkar
has
composed
music
for
the
film
and
Rajeev
Ravi
has
done
the
cinematography.
