Delhi
Couture
Fashion
Week
is
getting
bigger
and
better,
at
least
in
terms
of
Bollywood
celebrity
presence.
B-Town
residents
flocked
almost
every
evening
of
the
fashion
show,
without
missing
a
chance
to
check
out
the
latest
designs
of
the
celebrated
fashion
designers
like
Manish
Malhotra,
Varun
Bahl,
Rohit
Bal,
Adarsh
Gill,
Manav
Gangwani,
etc.
Each
design
presented
on
the
ramp
showcased
the
increasing
passion
for
fashion
among
the
Indian
designers.
However,
the
beautiful
blend
of
fashion
with
Bollywood
tadka
on
the
ramp
did
not
go
unnoticed.
Films
and
fashion
go
hand
in
hand
and
this
was
yet
again
proved
at
Delhi
Couture
Fashion
Week
2011.
Designer
Varun
Bahl
opened
by
bringing
actress
Madhuri
Dixit
as
the
audience
puller
of
his
show.
The
actress
was
seen
as
the
front
row
guest
flashing
her
mesmerizing
smile.
Actress
Neha
Dhupia
was
also
one
of
the
faces
that
carried
Varun's
and
designer
Rohit
Bal's
design
down
the
ramp.
Designer
Adarsh
Gill
with
designer
Manav
Gangwani
flaunted
their
Khan
connections,
considering
the
fact
that
Adarsh
is
good
friends
with
the
stars.
In
between
one
got
to
see
stars
like
Zayed
Khan,
Sanjay,
Zarine
Khan,
Fardeen
Khan,
Lara
Dutta,
Soha
Ali
Khan,
Kunal
Kemmu
as
well
as
Farah
Ali
Khan
contributing
their
bit
to
the
Delhi
Couture
Fashion
Week.
Bollywood's
very
own
designer
Manish
Malhotra
did
not
miss
the
chance
to
surprise
everyone
by
making
actress
Sonam
Kapoor
walk
the
ramp
as
the
showstopper
for
his
show.
Going
by
his
theme
of
Bridal
collections,
Manish
presented
Sonam
in
fully
embroidered
cherry
red
outfit.
Sonam
very
well
off
carried
the
attitude
of
a
confident
bride,
while
there
was
one
more
starlet
who
went
mad
over
the
collections.
Actress
Sonakshi
Sinha,
who
who
was
the
showstopper
for
Shantanu
&
Nikhil
at
the
Delhi
Couture
Week
went
gaga
over
Manish's
collections
and
Sonam's
look
on
the
ramp.
The
Dabangg
girl
brought
alive
the
aristocratic
magnificence
of
the
Elizabethan
era.
Carrying
off
Shantanu-Nikhil's
vintage
collection
named
'Perfume',
Sonakshi
walked
the
ramp
in
an
ivory-white,
heavily
embroidered
jacket
that
ran
till
knee-length
with
a
white
lehenga
flowing.
New
bee
Shraddha
Kapoor
and
Jacqueline
Fernandez
portrayed
the
fairies
of
Gaurav
Gupta"s
'Enchanted
Forest".
Shraddha
was
also
seen
bringing
in
the
maya
concept
of
designer
Anju.
The
actress
showed
her
classic,
sophisticated
look
on
the
ramp.
Actress
Sharmila
Tagore,
the
dimpled
yesteryear
beauty
and
Bollywood
hunk
Arjun
Rampal,
were
also
seen
walking
the
ramp
for
their
respective
designers.
Couture
has
been
one
of
the
longest
standing
traditional
fashion
shows
in
India.
This
time
the
fashion
week
showcased
the
royalty
and
tradition
of
India.
