Deepika shines like a true diva

Deepika Padukone was 'elegance personified' as she ramped on the stage in true 'diva' style, presenting the works of Nirav Modi, Mumbai-based jewellery designer.

Deepika was recently in Hyderabad, showcasing Modi's latest diamond collection. Dressed in a black ghagra choli, and decked with breathtakingly beautiful diamonds, Deepika Padukone looked ravishing. Like most ladies, Deepika too terms diamonds as her “best friends."

While chatting with the the media at the venue, Deepika went into a nostalgic mood and said that her favourite piece of jewellery is a diamond ring that her mother gifted her on her 18th birthday. She mentioned that she wears the ring as often as she could. Speaking fondly about her mother Ujjala Padukone, Deepika stated that her mother had a good eye when it came to choosing jewellery and Deepika adored several pieces of her mother's collections.

When asked why he choose Deepika Padukone as brand ambassador to showcase his jewellery, Nirav Modi remarked “She represents things that the brand stands for like elegance, grace and timeless beauty."
