Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein revolves around the journey of an IT professional, played by Sachin Khedekar. Anupam Kher is playing the blind man in the bilingual film, which is made in Hindi and Marathi (Kashaala Udyachi Baat). The veteran actor, who attended the press meet, had dressed up himself as a blind man!! He was fully in his character.

Talking to media, Anupam Kher admits suggesting the last-minute change in the script. The actor said, "I did ask for my character to be turned blind. The idea came to me as I was going up in the lift to the location of the shooting. My character is supposed to be a social commentator. How much more effective his comments on the world around us would be if he was blind."

Anupam has taken inspiration from Vivekananda. He added, "I was actually inspired by a line from Swami Vivekananda who said, 'If there's anything worse than a man who cannot see, it's a man without vision.' My character's comments on the world all around him are so much sharper because he can't see."

Sai Prasad Media Pvt Ltd is the producer of Chhodo Kal Ki Baatien. Besides Anupam, Sachin Khedekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Atul Parchure, Anjan Shrivastava, Kishori Ambiye are playing the lead roles in the film, which is releasing 12th April, 2012 all over India.
