screening

'Gali
Gali
Mein
Chor
Hai"
has
been
organised
for
veteran
social
activist
Anna
Hazare
on
24th
Jan,
2012.
The
film
was
screened
at
his
native
village
Ralegan
Siddhi,
situated
in
Parner
Taluka,
Ahmednagar
District,
Maharashtra.
Anna
watched
the
film
along
with
Annu
Kapoor,
Akshaye
Khanna,
Shriya
Saran,
Mugdha
Godse,
producer
Nitin
Manmohan
and
director
Rumy
Jafry.
Anna
saw
the
entire
film,
whose
screening
ended
at
around
10
pm
and
expressed
satisfaction
over
it,
Hazare's
aide
Datta
Awari
said.
Since
the
plot
of
Gali
Gali
Chor
Hai
deals
with
the
issue
of
corruption,
the
film"s
core
team
felt
that
it
would
be
just
right
for
Anna,
the
anti-corruption
crusader
to
share
his
valuable
views
on
the
subject.
Around
2,000
villagers
saw
the
film
at
the
do.
Annu
Kapoor
said,
“I
represent
the
system
and
that
part
of
the
system
that
gets
most
of
the
limelight.
The
corrupt
cops
that
is!"
He
was
last
seen
playing
a
cop
was

Khoon
Maaf.
“I
never
go
back
to
my
characters
that
I
have
played
earlier.
I
always
like
to
have
a
fresh
approach
to
the
characters
I
play.
I
go
from
character
to
character
and
from
film
to
film."
