Kareena Kapoor following Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif's footsteps

The lavani is a Marathi folk dance and in recent days it seems to have become the best-loved dance form in Bollywood. Recently, actress Katrina Kaif rocked the screens with her lavani dance 'Chikni Chameli' in Hrithik Roshan starrer movie Agneepath. Vidya Balan is doing the same in Ferrari Ki Sawaari. Now, No 1 Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is following their footsteps.

Kareena Kapoor will now be seen doing the lavani number. Yes! The Bollywood actress is said to be performing two item numbers in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film Heroine. One of them is 'Halkat Jawani'. This item song is said to be a lavani and Bebo will be seen in Marathi tight cholis with short ghagras in it.

However, Halkat is a Mumbaiya slang which means 'nasty' or 'mischievous'. The item number 'Halkat Jawani' is composed by musicians Salim-Sulaiman Merchant. The second schedule of Heroine is starting from today and filming of the lavani song is said to be done in this schedule soon.
