Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan got married on 25th October 1991. Despite the controversies and rumours the couple has carried themselves in a very dignified and graceful manner.
Shahrukh Khan married Gauri at the age of 21 when SRK was nothing, and he was working hard to create an identity in Bollywood. Gauri's parents were against this marriage as Shahrukh was from a different religion. Shahrukh even changed his name to Abhinav to make them feel that he was a Hindu boy. However, later he told the truth to Gauri's parents and convinced them for the marriage.
Recently, Gauri Khan in an interview to a magazine said, "Shahrukh has definitely been my inspiration. He is extremely focused in his work and is extremely ambitious. When I got into interior designing, he was very happy and he really wanted me to do this. He believes that everybody should work and be passionate about their work. He is so driven and I'm completely inspired by him. In fact, my design journey started because he gave me a complete free hand in doing up our homes."
