CHOPRA" who
made
us
love

more

today.
He
came
to
Mumbai
with
only
Rs
200
in
his
pocket
and
his
mother's
blessing
to
make
an
identity
in
Bollywood.
He
then
went
on
to
make
a
special
place
in
the
hearts
of
millions
with
his
beautiful,
romantic
and
landmark
films.
Yash
Chopra's
death
came
as
a
shock
(he
was
suffering
from
Dengue
and
died
due
to
multiple
oragan
failure
at
Mumbai's
Lilavati
Hospital
on
Sunday),
and
is
the
greatest
loss
to
the
Bollywood
film
industry.
He
is
survived
by
wife
Pamela
and
sons
Aditya
Chopra
(Filmmaker)
and
Uday
Chopra
(Actor).
Born
on
27
September
1932,
Yash
Chopra
was
a
successful
Indian
film
director,
screenwriter
and
film
producer
in
Bollywood.
He
began
his
career
as
an
assistant
director
to
IS
Johar
and
his
elder
brother,
BR
Chopra.
He
made
his
directorial
debut
in
1959
with
the
film
Dhool
Ka
Phool.
Chopra
was
founder
and
chairman
of
Yash
Raj
Films.
Daag:
A
Poem
of
Love
(1973)
is
his
debut
as
a
producer,
which
laid
the
foundation
of
Yash
Raj
Films.
Yash
Chopra
created
his
own
style.
He
was
known
as
'King
of
Romance'
as
he
made
Bollywood's
most
memorable
romantic
dramas.
He
ruled
the
industry
over
five
decades
and
over
50
films.
His
few
hit
films
include
Kabhi
Kabhie,
Chandni,
Lamhe,
Silsila,
Dilwale

He
shaped

Yash
Chopra
shared

relation
with
