Can Rani Mukherjee make it to the top league of Bollywood with Aiyyaa?

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Black, Ghulam, Hey Ram, Saathiya, Veer Zara, if these are your few favourite flicks, you cannot wash away Rani Mukherjee from your minds. Once the superhit actress, Rani had ruled the roost for more than a decade. She topped the chart with her outstanding acting skills and husky, unusual voice. But, after sweeping away the best actress award with No One killed Jessica, Rani Mukherjee went off the radar for a while now. It was rumoured that the actress took a break from Bollywood as she wanted to settle down with her rumoured boyfriend Aditya Chopra.

After a brief sabbatical, Rani will be back with her upcoming movies Aiyyaa and Talaash. If reports are to be believed, Rani will play a Marathi mulgi in Aiyyaa. She will be seen opposite Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. In Talaash, Rani will be featuring opposite to her Ghulam co-star Aamir Khan. So, now that Rani has two big movies in her kitty, can she challenge her junior contemporaries, who are ahead of her in the industry?
