In Pictures: Birthday Boy Shahrukh in different avatars

By Nagarathna

It's Baadshah's birthday today. Yes, we are talking about none other than Shahrukh Khan, the most loved and envied actor in Bollywood.

Shahrukh was born and brought up in a middle-class family. He lost his father who was suffering from cancer when he was 15 yrs old. He always wanted his mom to see him succeed but unfortunately he lost her (she was suffering from diabetes and septicemia).

With no godfather, no filmi parentage, no acting gene in the family, SRK came to Mumbai. He didn't have any plan then, he just wanted to be in Mumbai for a year and do four films and go back to Delhi. But fate has something else good planned for him. He said that film industry is his surrogate mother and it has been wonderful to him and so he is here.

He is such a hard working and passionate person that he thinks sleeping more is waste of time, he said once in a chat show, "You can't waste the moments and have one lifetime and pack in lots of stuff in it."

His first name "Shahrukh" means "face of the king" and he has proved it as he is called King of Bollywood. He has acted in over 70 Hindi films. He won 14 Filmfare Awards from 30 nominations.

Shahrukh is a 'Handsome, Romantic and Dynamic Actor', 'Smart Businessman', last but not the least 'A Perfect Entertainer'. With all these qualities and more, SRK is still ruling the industry. He is and will be 'the real KING' everywhere.

We wish KING KHAN a Happy Birthday!
