Shahrukh Khan's road to success

Shahrukh Khan is labelled as 'Brand SRK' as he tops the list in endorsing national and international products. He has been the first choice of many brands for promoting their products and ideas. According to a survey by TAM Media Research (2008), SRK had endorsed maximum brands on TV.

He is also a great philanthropist. In memory of his late mother, SRK introduced a children's ward at the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. He has been a brand ambassador of various governmental campaigns, one being Pulse Polio immunisation campaign. He is also a member of the board of directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation in India. He donates to AIDS organisations and cancer patients. He also helped Resul Pookutty with his project of educating unpriviledged children in India, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Hollywood actress Judi Dench. SRK along with co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal organised a charity auction, during Ra.One's premiere in Dubai, and the funds collected was used for building a workshop for children with special needs. These are just few contributions mentioned, SRK is involved in many other social activities too.

He is also known for his inspirational speeches and humorous talks, which are worth listening. No one can forget the trouble SRK got into when he was on his way to Yale University and he was detained at New York airport for about two hours by US immigration authorities. In spite of this, SRK didn't lose his spirit and gave an inspirational speech to the students at Yale University.

His road to success wasn't easy, he had to face many failures and controversies. He had many flops, but he did not lose hope. His team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) didn't perform well for past 4 IPL seasons. His movie Ra.One failed miserably at Box office. His show Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain was also not much successful. He was in news, when he slapped Shirish Kunder. His link-up with Priyanka Chopra was talk of the town. He was banned for 5 years from entering into Wankhede Stadium. He was in trouble when he was caught smoking publicly in a cricket stadium. Also his relation with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan is always in news. But never did he turn back and always moved ahead. He handled all the situations tactfully and now he is the most successful man. His team KKR is now IPL 5 Champions.

It's been two decades for Shahrukh Khan in Bollywood. On completing 20 years in the industry he tweeted, "Just realized 20 yrs have vanished in a glance. Been only moving cos thats important...more important perhaps than knowing where to...I'm never today sometimes yesterday sometimes the next day already. I am a time challenger moving along the trail of my dreams seen eyes open."

He also added, "Made mistakes,still continue to do so.A little madness.A bit of solitude.2 silly to realize its impossible & maybe thats y it gets achieved." He also tweeted, "Mom said to only feel and say positive things. ‘Your Farishtey (angels) are always listening and fullfil your words.' My Farishtey work overtime."

Overall, Shahrukh is a 'Perfect Family Man', 'Handsome, Romantic and Dynamic Actor', 'Smart Businessman', 'Philanthropist', 'Good Speaker', last but not the least 'A Perfect Entertainer'. With all these, we can say, SRK is ruling the industry. He is and will be 'the real KING' everywhere. And we wish, he will keep us entertaining for long.
