Vidya Balan's parents say they took home Silk

Vidya Balan is a happy lady these days, and the reason for Vidya's joy is not just her recent success of The Dirty Picture. Vidya is extremely happy and relieved that apart from the audiences, even her parents have approved her performance in the The Dirty Picture, allegedly based on the life of late actress Silk Smitha.

Vidya Balan received a lot of praises for her performance in The Dirty Picture. However, the compliment that she considers most precious is the one she received from her parents.

Speaking about the compliment that touched her the most, Vidya Balan revealed to a news agency, “My parents said to me that within five minutes of The Dirty Picture, they forgot that the girl on screen was their daughter and instead took home Silk. It was a big relief when my parents said that since right through the film's making, I was wary of their reactions."

Vidya Balan, who turned 34 on January 1st is looking forward to an exciting year.
