Mumbai: The death of legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra came as a shocker. The entire world and the film fraternity is yet trying to come to terms with the loss. An 'antim yatra' was expected to take place, but had to be cancelled owing to heavy traffic. However, the antim 'darshan' of the director were open to all at Yash Chopra Studios in the morning. Yash Chopra's body was taken to the crematorium in an ambulance and not any decorated rath.

The cremation took place at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai and was attended by Yash Chopra's family members - sons Aditya Chopra, Uday Chopra and wife Pamela Chopra.

According to a leading daily, to avoid traffic, the family had kept the gates open for Yash chopra's fans from 9 am for final his darshan.
