With the grand success of Grand Masti, the myth has been broken that adult comedies do not do well in the Indian circuit. The movie has got the 4th highest opening this year and will encourage the film makers to venture into the adult comedy genre. Nobody had expected the phenomenal response which the film has got and the word of mouth has enhanced its collections. The movie is still going strong at the box office and is expected to cross the 100 Crore mark.

One might ask how a movie like Grand Masti has done so well despite the adult content in it. The answer is simple, youngsters love this kind of stuff. The double meaning dialogues and the skin show in the movies are something which entertains the audience and they can't get enough it. Ritesh Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor were the lead in the movie. The story is about two friends, Rahul(Tusshar) plays a naive guy and hardworking guy while Ritesh(Karan) is his opposite. When a series of murders and rapes are committed in the city, Rahul is suspected for the crime and a police Inspector Urmila Martodkar(Isha Koppikar) seduces him to reveal his true nature. Karan on the other hand, is trying to date his boss's transexual girlfriend.
