Filmmaker Sajid Khan's latest release Himmatwala has received negative reviews from the critics. Himmatwala features Ajay Devgn and Tamanna Bhatia in the leads and is a remake of the 1983 blockbuster of the same name, directed by K Raghavendra Rao starring Jeetendra and Sridevi.

Even before its release, Himmatwala was in extreme hype. But unfortunately, the movie failed due to "over-the-top acting, irritating melodrama, lame jokes, mindless entertainment". While a few critics termed this flick as a 'lame joke', a few other termed it as 'Un-hilarious stupidity'.
