Yash Chopra's 81st birthday was celebrated in a grand style by his wife, Pamela Chopra. This was the late filmmakers first birthday post his demise. A ramp walk was arranged and actresses who have been part of his films took part in it. The event was headlined by Yash Chopra's favourite, Shahrukh Khan.

Shahrukh was the showstopper at the event and he walked the ramp with every actress. He thanked Pamela Chopra for thinking of something unique to celebrate her late husband's birthday and said it is only possible because of her that all his evergreen heroines are under one roof.

Shahrukh was quoted as saying, "If Yashji was present, he would have said, 'They are all looking so beautiful, now you handle them'. Yashji was and will always remain my favourite director and no one can take his place. I really miss him and hope that wherever he is, he is in a happy place with lots of peace. I feel really special to be associated with such a great filmmaker for so long."

The actresses were dressed in the attire of their hit movies and songs were being played from Chopra's films while they walked the ramp. The heroines remembered the filmmaker on his birthday and also shared their fond memories of the director. Present at the event were Rekha, Anushka Sharma, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Sridevi, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra and Juhi Chawla.
