By Sahaja
Ranbir
Kapoor,
who
is
often
referred
to
as
the
Bollywood's
next
superstar
clearly
wants
to
become
number
one
in
the
tinsel
town.
We
recently
saw
Superstar
Shahrukh
Khan
break
all
the
Box-Office
records
with
his
movie
Chennai
Express.
Ranbir
will
now
beat
one
of
the
records
set
by
SRK's
Chennai
Express
with
upcoming
movie
Besharam.
Well,
it
looks
like
the
game
is
on.
SRK
had
gone
an
extra
mile
by
releasing
Chennai
Express
in
3500
screens
in
India
and
more
than
700
screens
abroad.
He
made
sure
that
his
movie
had
the
biggest
Bollywood
release
ever.
However,
Ranbir
is
not
going
to
let
Shahrukh
hold
on
to
this
record
for
much
longer
as
he
will
very
soon
beat
the
actor
in
the
numbers
game
with
Besharam
which
will
be
released
in
at
least
3600
screens
in
India.
Besharam,
which
is
distributed
by
Reliance
Entertainment
will
be
the
biggest
release
in
Hindi
film
history
till
date.
Utpal
Acharya,
the
Distribution
Head
of
Reliance
Entertainment
was
glad
to
confirm
this
news.
"Besharam
will
be
the
largest
release
till
date,
both
in
India
and
abroad.
I
am
looking
at
3600
plus
screens.
I
had
planned
for
4000
screens
but
Pawan
Kalyan's
Telugu
film
Attarintiki
Daredi
which
releases
today
has
a
got
a
phenomenal
response
in
advance
booking.
That
takes
away
some
screens
which
I
had
planned
in
Andhra
Pradesh,
Tamil
Nadu,
Karnataka
and
Kerala," Acharya
said.
'More
number
of
screens
means
more
profit'
has
become
the
tactic
in
today's
film
industry.
Acharya
seemed
very
happy
with
Besharam.
He
said,
"I
am
very
confident
of
Besharam,
it
is
a
full
family
commercial
entertainer
and
more
the
screens,
more
the
revenue." Let's
wait
and
watch
if
Besharam
will
be
a
blockbuster
at
the
Box-Office.

a
look
at
the
slide
show
for
images
and
details
of
Besharam.
Ranbir
Inspired
By
SRK?
It's
interesting
to
notice
that
the
trailer
of
Besharam
features
Ranbir
Kapoor
singing
SRK's
hit
song
'Tujhe
Dekha
To
Ye
Jaana
Sanam'
in
Punjabi.
This
song
was
a
romantic
one
in
SRK's
DDLJ
but
here
it's
a
humourous
scene
as
Ranbir
is
peeing
while
sing.
We
wonder
if
this
is
a
mock!!
Babli
In
the
movie
Besharam,
Ranbir
plays
the
role
of
Babli,
a
poor
Punjabi
guy.
Ranbir
found
this
unique
name
'Babli'
quite
interesting.
Ranbir
Not
An
Anti
Hero
The
director
of
the
movie
is
Bahinav
Kashyap.
He
tells
us
that
he
is
not
trying
to
idealise
any
social
message
through
the
movie.
"He
is
not
anti
hero
here.
He
is
the
hero
amongst
the
masses
and
a
hero
with
whom
everyone
will
relate
to.
I
am
not
trying
to
propagate
any
social
message
through
my
film.
He
is
here
to
entertain
everyone,
even
a
poor
man,
who
is
not
educated,"
Kashyap
said.
Title
Explaining
about
the
title,
the
director
says,
"Besharam
is
a
villainous
word.
I
want
to
tell
people
the
right
meaning
of
the
word.
I
want
to
show
that
Besharam
can
be
positive."
Following
Daddy's
Footsteps
For
the
title
song
in
Besharam,
Ranbir
will
be
seen
in
an
avatar
similar
to
Rishi
Kapoor's
look
from
the
1980
movie
Karz.
Ranbir
dons
a
metallic
golden
outfit
and
shakes
his
booty.
Punjabi
We
hear
that
Ranbir
Kapoor
has
learnt
Punjabi
for
the
movie.
Besharam's
tagline
is
'Na
sammaan
ka
moh,
na
apmaan
ka
bhay'.
Pallavi
Sharda,
The
Heroine
Pallavi
Sharda
is
an
Indian-Australian
actress
who
made
her
Bollywood
debut
in
My
Name
Is
Khan.
She
had
played
a
supporting
role
then.
In
Besharam,
she
has
got
the
opportunity
to
play
the
lead
opposite
Ranbir.
Besharam
Family
This
is
the
first
movie
in
which
the
Kapoor
family
-
Rishi
Kapoor,
Neetu
Singh
and
Ranbir
will
be
seen
together
in
a
film.
Katrina
Not
Chosen
For
Besharam
It
was
recently
reported
that
Ranbir
had
suggested
to
the
director
to
cast
Katrina
as
the
leading
lady
in
this
film
but
Kashyap
did
not
agree
to
this.
Game
On
Besharam
will
hit
the
theatres
on
Wednesday,
October
2
and
break
the
Friday
norm.
We
will
surely
update
you
with
more
updates
on
the
movie.
We
wonder
if
this
will
be
a
big
blockbuster
like
Chennai
Express.
