The Bachchans and the Kapoors are the two most powerful families of the Bollywood industry. Both these families have been ruling the industry for decades now. It is said that the relationship between these two influential families turned bitter, after Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor's marriage was called off.
Going back to the old story, actress Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan's engagement was announced in October 2002, on Amitabh Bachchan's 60th birthday. But unfortunately, the couple split after a few months. The reason behind this break up remains as one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of Bollywood till date.
Later, Karisma Kapoor got married to industrialist Sanjay Kapur, CEO of Sixt India. Kapoor gave birth to her daughter Samaira on 11 March 2005, and a son, Kiaan Raj Kapoor on 12 March 2010. On the other hand, Abhishek married Aishwarya Rai in 2007. It is said that things have turned for good between the Bachchans and the Kapoors now. In fact, both the families are now on friendly terms.
