Shahrukh
Khan,
who
owns
the
Kolkata
Knight
Riders
in
the
Indian
Premiere

is
all
geared
up
for
the
upcoming
Indian
football
league.
The
Bollywood
superstar
is
planning
to
bid
for
the
Kolkata
franchise
of
the
new
league
promoted
by
All
India
Football
Federation
(AIFF)
and
IMG-Reliance.
The
actor
had
different
plans
earlier
but
he
has
changed
his
mind
now.
"Earlier
I
was
planning
to
buy
stakes
in
Goan
I-League
club
Dempo
and
now
with
the
new
franchise-based
league
coming
up,
I
will
have
a
look
at
it.
I
will
love
to
own
a
franchise," Shahrukh
revealed.
SRK
also
told
that
he
is
interested
in
buying
the
Kolkata
team.
"I
will
love
to
have
the
Kolkata
football
club,"
he
said.
AIFF's
commercial
partner
IMG-Reliance
plans
to
glamourise
this
Indian
football
league
early
next
year.
The
plan
is
to
have
eight
clubs,
176
players,
72
overseas
stars
and
10
weeks
of
packed
action.
This
new
tournament
is
scheduled
to
kick
off
on
January
18
and
go
on
till
March
30.
This
league
will
be
on
the
same
page
as
Indian
Premier
League
(IPL)
which
is
also
managed
by
IMG.
The
ten
cities
that
have
been
shortlisted
for
the
auction
are
Delhi,
Kolkata,
Bangalore,
Pune,
Mumbai,
Kochi,
Chennai,
Hyderabad,

and

So
it
looks
like
Shahrukh's
dreams
of

may
finally
come
alive.
