Sushmita Sen, who reminds us of sheer 'woman power' celebrates her 38th birthday today. Sush is vivacious, bubbing with life and one of the most loved and respected actresses in the industry. Agreed that after attaining the Miss India and Miss World title, her career in Bollywood did not quite take off! But Sush has always been treated as part of the industry and admired for her guts and determination!
At the age of 18, Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe title, and at the age of 25, she adopted a girl and named her Renee. She later went on to adopt one more girl named Alisah in the year 2010. Amidst rumours of her innumerable affairs, Sush held her ground, adopting an 'I don't care' attitude.
Sushmita Sen's success in the Miss Universe pageant in 1994 was very crucial since she was the first girl to win the crown for India. Though she acted in films like Sirf Tum (1999), Biwi No.1 (1999), Aankhen (2002), Main Hoon Na (2004), Filhaal... (2002) and Samay: When Time Strikes (2003) to name a few, Sush has been known more for her personal than her professional life.
