Bang Bang To Gunday: Hyped Bollywood Films That Disappointed Us
Bang Bang starring Hrithik Roshan and Karina Kaif has been scrutinized with many words like mindless, un-watchable, tests your patience, leave logis and stupid etc, yet the movie managed to mint over Rs 200 crores at the Indian Box Office.
Wondering why? Or how on Earth is this even possible? Relax, it is, all with the magic of marketing strategies. Bang Bang was so hyped up from the day the project was announced. Knight And Day starring Tom Cruise was not brilliant but it was a fun watch so people started waiting eagerly expecting something on the same level, little did they know they were in treat for the most worst remake possible.
With already generated hype, fans went crazy when the teaser and trailer of the movie released. It was truly spectacular and if that wasn't enough, then the fact that Hrithik and Katrina have done their own stunts, the film budget is Rs 180 crores, Hrithik paying tribute to Michael Jackson and last but not the least the Bang Bang dare. All these innovative gimmicks helped generate so much hype for the movie that fans started booking tickets way in advance.
So even before the movie released, the makers knew it was a sure shot winner. Even though the film disappointed us on many levels, it made crores and crores at Box Office. So it got many thinking about all such over hyped Bollywood movies this year which disappointed us, from Gunday to Kochadaiiyaan and many more.
Some of these movies didn't mint money but the theme is that they were over hyped, promising us a a good time but instead scared the hell out of us. So I am making a list of all those movies which were over hyped but disappointed us majorly when it released.

Bang Bang
Bang Bang is one of the most hyped movies this year and the film made huge collections at Box Office but most of the people hated the movie and found it tad boring.
Finding Fanny
This movie too was super hyped, it is not a bad movie but somewhere it disappointed us. It wasn't worth the hype it generated.
Bobby Jasoos
Vidya promoted this movie with full enthu by donning different get ups but again it disappointed us. It's a good watch at home but not worth the hype.
Humshakals
This movie was really controversial and hyped as well. The film boasted of triple roles which only ended up irritating us.
Kochadaiiyaan
Rajinikanth magnum opus was being hyped up from years, finally when the movie hits the theaters, people were disappointed with the animation quality.
The Xpose
As much as this movie minted money, it was only due to the hype of Honey Singh acting in this movie. Yet another huge disappointment.
Revolver Rani
Kangana's Queen movie had just super impressed us, so when this movie released, there was a lot of expectation but unfortunately it disappointed us.
Bewakoofiyaan
Bewakoofiyaan too was expected to be a good movie considering Ayushmann was signing good projects and he was acting along side Sonam Kapoor who for the very first time worn a bikini.
The pink bikini did not help the film and it bombed terribly.
Shaadi Ke Side Effects
Shaadi Ke Side Effects is good television watch and then too you'll get bored with the way the story had been dragged. This movie was for those type of couples alone and not for everybody else that existed on planet Earth.
Gunday
Gunday was super hyped owing to best buddies Ranveer and Arjun acting together and the older woman Priyanka Chopra playing the lover, but none of these gimmicks worked and the movie disappointed us very badly.
