Bang Bang Vs Haider: Hrithik Roshan Vs Shahid Kapoor
Bang Bang! is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film which is a remake of the Hollywood film Knight and Day and features Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles performed by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz respectively in the original.
Haider is an upcoming Indian drama film which is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, and is set in Kashmir. The film stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role and Tabu essays the role of his mother who marries her brother-in-law Kay Kay Menon after his father disappears. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor as the character Arshia, a journalist by profession and character Haider's love interest in the film.
Bang Bang and Haider, both are scheduled to release on October 2, 2014. The first is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios, the latter is co-written and by Vishal Bharadwaj.
With the clash of titans waiting to happen in a months time, media asked Shahid his opinion on the two films releasing the same day, the actor said, ""I saw the promo of Bang Bang and I loved it and I will definitely go and see the film. I wished good luck to Hrithik. It is a five-day weekend, the five-day holiday period is coming after a long time and I think any big holiday weekend is good enough for two films to sustain. Two big films can release (together), there is no problem."
When the Bang Bang's teaser got out, the Haider star took on to the twitter and applauded Hrithik tweeting, "@ihrithik blasting off in style brother ... Bang on!" Hrithik too took to the social networking platform and wrote, "Mere bhai, tugethar blasting we make happen! RT."
