Pics: Bollywood Celebrities Cast Their Vote In Assembly Elections 2014

Maharashtra Assembly elections that has been going on today has garnered huge support from the Bollywood fraternity. The Election Commission of India had announced that the Assembly Elections 2014 would be conducted in a single phase manner and the voters are slowly increasing in numbers, the boost has definitely been given by Bollywood celebrities who are lining up to cast their vote.

Not only are these stars casting vote but they are requesting voters to get inked and give their opinion as well. The first Bollywood celeb to cast his vote was Riteish Deshmukh after which Abhishek Bahchan, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha followed.

Even superstars of Bollywood Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan were seen coming with their family and casting their vote in the Assembly elections that have been going on in Maharashtra today.

"Go vote," tweeted Salman Khan, not just he, every star that cast his or her vote was seen tweeting about it and requesting people to vote as well. He falso stated to media sending a message to voters, "Like you choose your girlfriend, like you choose your friend, the same way you should choose your candidate."

He further added, "People out on picnics right now, enjoying this day as a holiday, are the ones who complain later on. All countries have issues. It is a very tough job for politicians to match the issues."

As of now the estimated polling in some districts are as follows; Aurangabad 10 per cent, Beed 9, Solapur 8, Kolhapur 10, Hingoli 8.5, Osmanabad 9, Nashik 7, and Parbhani 7.5 per cent.

Off late utilizinf the kind of impact these celebs have on people, they are strongly spreading awareness on people's right to vote. Several Bollywood bigwigs cast their vote, even sports star Sachin Tendulkar cast his vote.
