Bollywood Celebrity Patch Ups Of 2014 At Awards
The year 2014 has been very good for many celebrities. While some celebs started new year with hit movies like Queen, the year opened up with loads of award functions lined up in a row. The year has also been good for some celebrities who resolved their long term rivalry with their contemporaries in the industry.
At awards or any such social gatherings, most of the celebrities leave their rivalry behind and act decent. However, 2014 award shows has been special as Bollywood's famous arch rivals have shocked everyone with their series of hugs. One of the most special awards was Star Screen Awards 2014 where we saw a patch-up spree among celebrities of Bollywood.
For example, one of the visual treats at one of the award functions held in 2014 was the hug of arch rivals Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Yes, the two leading Khans of the industry hugged each other on the stage of an award function and silenced all the criticism they gathered for their long term rivalry. Last year Salman and Shahrukh hugged each other at party which too became a news and then this second sighting was a treat to the eyes. They might still not be friends, but the hug that too at an awards stage is a sign of patch up to many believers.
Another hugging session was seen between Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Salman and Abhishek were once close friends till Sallu's love interest Aishwarya Rai tied the knot with Abhishek. It was really surprising to see Salman and Abhishek hug each other after he tied the knot with Salman's ex girlfriend, Ash.

Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan
Salman has a lot of rivals in the industry as well. The very famous rivalry with King Khan seems to be coming to an end as Salman and Shahrukh hugged each other at Star Guild Award 2014 which was hosted by Sallu Bhai. Shahrukh won Entertainer of the Year Award and when he came on the stage to receive the award, Salman hugged SRK and also congratulated him on the success of Chennai Express. Later Salman asked SRK to say Jai Ho and the King Khan obliged. Last year too, SRK and Salman created headlines after they hugged at an Iftar party.
Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan
Bollywood's Dabangg Khan Salman was once a good friend of Abhishek Bachchan. After Abhishek went ahead and tied the knot with Salman's ex-flame Aishwarya Rai, the two never spoke to each other. However, Salman hugged Abhishek at Screen Awards. During the distribution of the mementos, Salman Khan hugged and warmly received everyone including Abhishek Bachchan with whom he has not had a good relationship for the known reasons. Moreover, Sallu also congratulated Ash's husband Abhishek on Dhoom 3 success.
Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha
This is one of the legendary and most talked about celebrity patch ups of 2014. Amitabh ended his 33 years long of sub-zero snubbing by greeting Rekha with a namaste and a smile at the Screen Awards. Amitabh and Rekha were in the news for their romance 33 years back but they parted ways. Big B avoided Rekha after that at all possible events, but this sudden namaste session at the Screen Awards 2014 was something which will be in the news forever!

The long Silsila finally ended as Jaya Bachchan and Rekha were snapped holding hands and greeting each other at Screen Awards 2014 again! Jaya avoided her one-time rival Rekha who was once a flame of her husband, Amitabh Bachchan. However, Jaya left her long term rivalry behind and greeted Rekha at Screen Awards 2014.
Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi
Salman seems to be on a patch-up spree with his rivals. At Screen Awards he patched up with Abhishek Bachchan and SRK. Then came the surprising rather shocking moment when Salman forgot all his rivalry with Vivek and appreciated the actor for the success of his adult comedy film ‘Grand Masti'. Vivek has been trying hard to apologise to the Khan bhai. Even at the awards night, Vivek twice came to stage to receive awards but Salman avoid him. However, when Salman congratulated Vivek for Grand Masti success, everyone was surprised.
